Closure of Free Web Hosting |

During its existance, Escouts has provided free hosting to UK Scouts for around 8 years, (we've been in existance over 9 years). During that time we've saved UK Scouting somewhere in the region of £100,000 - £150,000 and thats a conservative estimate.

Apologies for the  Community downtime, which lasted around 14 hours approximately
Whilst we had the problem almost resolved at 1.45am last night, I played safe, I don't make apologies for that.

On Monday 26th July 2010 , Escouts: Community alone attracted over 1000 unique visitors (real people), and that is excluding our Search engines.
Over 7000 pages were viewed by REAL people that day. On that day, our members made 233 new posts and created 16 new threads. But one statistic I find remarkable, the average time on the site is almost 8 minutes!

Hey All,
After a week and a bit of being broken, I have taken some time tonight to fix the portal.
As way of an apology, I have also included a new feature that was to be put in place with the pending VB4 upgrade! - See who can spot it first!

As you will be aware Hosting has been offline for a number of weeks. We have had a serious of technical problems, the latest was a hard
drive failure.
We have been doing our best to get as much of the data on the hard drive back as possible, but fundementally the time and resource a free host has is VERY limited.
